Our Story
Your Aged Care Companion is a privately owned and operated South Australian business. It grew out of a personal journey of caring for parents and loved ones in need of support, respite and permanent care.
Your Aged Care Companion is built on personal experiences of the challenges involved in navigating the aged care system. These challenges include making the difficult decision to place a loved one in care and dealing with the feelings of anxiety and guilt families often experience at such times. They also include finding the right provider for your loved one (which may vary dependent on care needs, cultural considerations, location and budget) dealing with government authorities and paperwork and understanding admission requirements and costs.
Our Vision
Your Aged Care Companion aims to empower you by providing you with the information and options you need to make the choices that matter for you and your loved ones. We inform, assist and reassure our clients while respecting their independence and their right to self-determination. We are passionate about helping our clients make informed decisions and stay in control of the placement process.
Our Point of Difference
Your Aged Care Companion is as an accredited, independent aged care placement service, unaffiliated with any residential care facility or provider.
As a South Australian business, Your Aged Care Companion uses local knowledge and expertise to ensure the best possible care outcomes for its clients based on their criteria and needs.
We never recommend a facility that we haven’t personally inspected and researched. Because residential care is often required on short notice with little warning, we will always respond quickly to your enquiries.
Our fees are capped, so you will never be surprised by hidden, unexplained or unexpected costs. Please feel free to ask us about our fee schedule.

We manage your information according to strict laws and guidelines that protect your identity and privacy. We will always ask for your permission before recording your information and we will never share your information with a third party without your consent.
