Your Aged Care Companion aims to empower you by providing you with the information and options you need to make the choices that matter for you and your loved ones.  We will inform, assist and reassure our clients while respecting their independence and their right to self-determination. Our service will not result in the client feeling coerced or unreasonably influenced to make a major decision about aged care options or placement. In fact, we are passionate about offering choices so that you can make informed decisions and stay in control.

Our staff are skilled, experienced and accredited to provide up-to-date and professional aged care advice to clients, so that you can stay in control and enjoy self-determination as we explore your aged care options with you.  Our Accreditation is provided by Aged Care Steps.

We are not ‘affiliated’ with any particular aged care facilities or providers, so we will always explore the most appropriate options to meet your needs and specified criteria. Our objective is to source the best and most suitable outcome for you, because you are our client. Our fees are capped and we do not charge any hidden extras. Please feel free to ask us upfront about our fees.

Privacy and Confidentiality

There are severe penalties, including imprisonment, for people who misuse personal information and these penalties also apply to aged care service providers.  Your Aged Care Companion is committed to ensuring the security and confidentiality of your information.

The information you give us is managed according to a strict set of guidelines designed to protect your identity and privacy. At Your Aged Care Companion we always ask for your permission before recording your information, and we will always be sensitive when gathering essential information from you.

We will always ask for your consent before sharing any information with a third party.  Only authorised personnel at Your Aged Care Companion can access the information you provide us and inactive files will be destroyed after two years or at your direction.
